Yanina, an Argentine woman, reported receiving threats on social media due to her Muslim faith. The problem has been escalating in recent months. The first warning came when other Muslim women were targeted in posts accusing them of 'invading' Buenos Aires. Then the threats reached Yanina. Her photos and those of her minor son were posted on social media, labeling them as 'terrorists'. The messages contained direct threats, including physical violence and deportation. Fearing for her son's safety, Yanina filed a police report. The complaint is filed under the charge of 'simple threat with discrimination'. As a result, she had to make her Instagram account private, and her son stopped wearing a Palestine t-shirt as a precaution.
